Natural: Location of the parish: Nono is located in the northwest of the skirts of Pichincha Volcano, the eruptions of the volcano have been documented from century XVI, these telluric events affected to the parish by the location of the crater whose it vents natural goes towards the west, leading the flows of magma, gas and mud. The advantage of this geographic location is that, with the course of the time, all the volcanic material has fertilized the valley and turned to agricultural production.

Cattle production: Formerly, the parish was formed by properties dedicated mainly to the young and pasturing of cattle, bovine, ovine and equino. At the moment considerable land extensions have become in colt for the pasture of the valley cattle mainly milkman. Nono is an important zone of milk pasturing of cattle supplying for the city of Quito, because it reckon that it can produce 10.000 litter of milk dairy. Hydrical source: This parish counts on an important volume of rains, which is translated in abundant hydric sources. The main ones are the Pichán river, that it born of the affluents of the Pichincha, and the Alambí river that is important affluent of the Guallabamba. It does not have irrigation problems, since it has ample primary forests which attract abundant rains.
Ecosystem: In Nono exist a cloudy primary forest with exceptional biological characteristics, that make it only and unique. Many organizations and research centers are studying their flora and it fauna. Species have made several scientific studies on this habitat certain that, conform the ecosystem.
